Please remember that you can contact me to order sealed products like booster boxes and Fat Packs for collection at the Launch Party event at Stafford. Remember, if you want to want to order cards from the site to collect at an event please follow these steps:

• Please place all orders by 18:00 on the Thursday before the event to allow me time to process the orders.
• Order as usual and go to the payment section.
• Choose “Pay by Check” if you want to pay me with cash on the day.
• Add to the customer comments “Collect at the next Stafford/Birmingham event”.
• See me on the day to collect the cards with your order reference number, pay cash minus the shipping costs.

Event notes

[1] This event is open to 50 players. Special promo foil while stocks last.

[2] Price for admission is £22.00 for two reasons. Firstly, it falls in line with Wizards of the Coast pricing guidelines and secondly because the product given to each player to use on the day is six (6) Magic 2011 Core Set TM boosters.

[3] As an incentive to those of you who attended the Magic 2011 Core Set Pre-Release events at Stafford and Birmingham I am running the following promotion. If you played in either of the Stafford or Birmingham Magic 2011 Core Set Pre-Release events, I will offer a £1.00 deduction on the entry fee into the Launch Party event. If you played in BOTH of the Stafford and Birmingham Magic 2011 Core Set Pre-Release events, I will offer either a £2.00 deduction in the cost of entry OR a free pack of 50 plain Ultra Pro sleeves of the colour of your choice [while stocks last]. I realise that this isn't an enormous saving, but I think that it rewards my most regular players for their loyalty.

[4] Those of you who pre-ordered a box of Magic 2011 Core Set boosters from me can also claim your £2 discount per box from the entrance fee for the Launch Party event on top of any other discounts explained in point [3] above.

[5] I'll be filling the traditional Grab Bag with the contents of some Magic 2011 Core Set boosters as additional prizes.

[6] As an additional prize, I have had a winner’s trophy engraved. The trophies are a popular part of the Pre-Release events and have been made part of the Launch Party event tradition too.

STAFFORD MAGIC 2011 CORE SET LAUNCH PARTY SUNDAY 18th OF JULY 2010

VENUE: Oddfellows Hall, Greengate Street, Stafford, ST16 2HP

Please contact me for more directions if you haven’t been to this venue before.

START TIME: Enrolment from 9:30am till 10:30am. Deck construction will start at about 11:00am.

FORMAT: The format for the Launch Party tournament is DCITM-sanctioned Magic 2011 Core Set TM Sealed Deck.

Rules Enforcement Level: Regular

ENTRY FEE: £22.00 for main event

Cost of entry includes six (6) Magic 2011 Core Set TM boosters.

PRIZES: As per Wizards of the Coast premier event prize structure.

SIDE EVENTS: Booster Draft side events available all day long.

ENTRY FEE: £11.00 for Booster Drafts (12 Boosters as prizes split 5/3/2/2)

SIDE EVENTS: 8 player Standard Constructed side events. If you have participated in the main event, the cost of entry is 50p, or £1.00 if you haven’t played in the main event. They will be single elimination events, timed 45 minute rounds. The winning finalist gets two (2) Magic 2011 Core Set boosters; losing finalist gets one (1) Magic 2011 Core Set booster. You can participate in multiple events if you would like to. These side events will start after round 2 of the main event has been completed.

Future Events 2010

July – Sun 18th – Stafford – Magic 2011 Launch Party

The Magic 2011 Launch Party event will happen the following weekend at Stafford. This is the first chance to buy Magic 2011 singles, boosters, boxes, intro packs and fat packs.

August – Sat 14th – Stafford – Magic 2011 Game Day

Game Day events are standard constructed format events where you get to try out your new Magic 2011 cards in the standard environment.

September – Sat 25th – Birmingham – Scars of Mirrodin Pre-Release
September – Sun 26th – Stafford – Scars of Mirrodin Pre-Release

The next block comes out in September and I’ll be running a full Pre-Release weekend again.

October – Sun 3rd – Stafford – Scars of Mirrodin Launch Party

The Scars of Mirrodin Launch Party event will happen the following weekend at Stafford. This is the first chance to buy Scars of Mirrodin singles, boosters, boxes, intro packs and fat packs.

November – Sun 14th – Stafford – Big Bag Draft

Yes, the Big Bag Draft at Stafford is scheduled for mid-November again this year to leave you all plenty of time to go Christmas shopping in late November 7 early December. The BBD is the last event of the 2010 season so make sure you come along for this legendary [destroys other Big Bag Drafts if there were any] event.
